Incorporating Intelligent Auto Mode, getting great results is made easy: the camera automatically recognises five of the most commonly-encountered scenes and adjusts settings accordingly. And thanks to Face Detection Technology, human subjects will be captured at their best – whether they’re with you out in the surf or taking it easy on the beach.

Featuring Digital Image Stabilisation, the µ-550WP significantly reduces blur caused by camera shake. Perfect Shot Preview, meanwhile, allows users to preview the effects of different settings such as white balance before taking a shot. And if the images from your latest snorkelling trip weren’t just right, the capabilities provided by the Perfect Fix function can come to the rescue: correcting red eyes and lightening at the touch of a button, directly in the camera. Pictures can be viewed on the integrated 6.4cm/2.5” LCD and stored on an xD Picture Card or – thanks to a bundled attachment – on a microSD Card.
